No Strings Attached Community Band

The No Strings Attached Community Band (NSACB) of Sudbury, conducted by Sandra McMillan, performed its annual evening Christmas concert at the Cambrian College amphitheatre on Saturday Dec. 6th, 2008. This concert featured a stirring rendition of "Twas the night before Christmas" by Marcus Schwabe. About $325 was raised at the door, which was promptly donated by Geoffrey Lougheed to the Sudbury Food Bank. The NSACB is a non-profit amateur community concert band, which is supported by the City of Greater Sudbury, and which offers through its free public concerts, an alternative to orchestral music. The band holds its rehearsals on Thursday evenings at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School, and is always looking for new members.
