2008 November > POWER PLAY FOR EASTER SEALS' KIDS A total of 18 teams played ball hockey in Don Cherry’s parking lot to raise close to $20,000 in funds for children, youth and young adults living with physical disabilities in the community. The top fundraising team – the Greater Sudbury Police won top honors again raising an amazing $2,584.00 and the Tournament Champions were the Bell Team A. Money raised from Power Play goes towards funding essential equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, and communications devices, providing summer camping experiences at Easter Seals camps, and funding recreational choices such as day camps, swimming and art classes. Everyone had a super time supporting a great community cause.
