2008 November > Putt 'n' Sweep With the golf season winding down and the winter sports season starting up, it was an ideal time to combine the two in a weekend of friendly fun competition. The Sudbury Curling Club held its 9th Annual Putt ‘n’ Sweep tournament the weekend of October 3rd-5th at the curling club and the Pine Grove Golf Course. A total of 36 teams took part in the fun-filled weekend, with an 18-hole 4-person scramble golf game and three 6-end curling matches scheduled as part of the competition. Participants golf scores and curling game scores were calculated to declare the winners. A delicious dinner was served up for all who took part and a dance followed later on. Everyone had a wonderful time gearing up for this year’s curling season.
