2008 November > Creek Group Receives Surprise Gift

The Burger King Restaurant on Notre Dame not only agreed to a recent request by the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee-they went one step further and provided the trees and labour to plant beautiful 7-foot Spruce trees at the back end of their lot. In order to prevent any misplaced garbage from making its way into Junction Creek, the committee had offered to provide and plant their own trees. The restaurant chain suggested that they use their funding elsewhere and kindly agreed to foot the bill. To further help with the project, Turf King supplied and planted small shrubs to fill the gaps between the larger trees, free of charge.
