2008 November > St. Charles College's Annual Food Drive For a first thing Monday morning pep rally, there certainly was a lot of school spirit echoing through the halls of St. Charles College School. At the school’s recent food drive rally, Mayor Rodriguez and Big Daddy’s Jim Szilva took to the microphone and got the students “pumped-up” for this year’s campaign. Having collected 60,000 cans of food last year, the goal this year was to “smash” that total by one more can and also do it in a reasonable amount of time so that Jim could have the opportunity to be let off the bus. Jim, who is part of the radio station’s Sudbury Mornings team, was forcefully thrown onto a Sudbury Transit bus, with strict instructions of staying on ‘til all the food got collected. All food collected will be given to the Sudbury Food Bank to help feed those in need. Great effort!
