HOT Music to watch in 2010!
By G-Rant
Lady Gaga:
Look for more songs to be released from “The Fame Monster”. While you are hearing “Telephone” featuring Beyonce on the new HOT 93.5 right now, she is not done yet! After her performance with Elton John at the Grammys, we are almost certain that “Speechless” will be her next HOT single.
Ke$ha:
Her debut single “Tik Tok” is in the record books as the most downloaded single by a female artist of all time. Her debut CD “Animal” knocked Susan Boyle off the #1 position on the Billboard 200. And she’s just getting started! Her latest single featuring 3OH!3 is called “Blah Blah Blah” and it’s looking like it may take over where Tik Tok left off.
Justin Bieber:
MuchMusic called him “Newcomer of the Year,” Celebuzz named him one of the top 10 YouTube stars of the decade… and he’s only 15. From Stratford Ontario, Justin Bieber is the newest music sensation, sending teens and their moms into a frenzy. His debut album is being released in 2 parts: “My World” was released last year spawning hits like “One Time” and “One Less Lonely Girl”. The second half of that album, “My World 2.0” is set to be released in March, with the first single, “Baby” already getting radio play on the new HOT 93.5.
No Doubt:
There are rumours Gwen Stefani & Company will be releasing new music this year. “No Doubt” is back together writing… the question is when will we hear it? My prediction is that they’ll hit us with something late summer, early fall.
Britney Spears:
What’s a girl to do when your father runs your life? Hide in studio and record, that’s what. Britney is expected to release her 7th studio album this May, with a lead single coming out this March… but as with all things Britney, you just never know.
Christina Aguilera:
It’s been 4 years since Christina has released a full length studio album and it’s expected that she’ll be releasing it very soon. According to Billboard, it’ll become available this April, with her lead single coming out late February or early March. The album will be called “Bionic” and the lead single will be “Glam.”
Iyaz and Jason Derulo:
It was a breakthrough 2009 for both Iyaz and Jason Derulo, with both going to number one with their singles “Replay” and “Whatcha Say.” Now here’s the interesting thing: It’s expected that they’ll both be releasing their debut albums on the same day, March 2nd, so look for a battle of the newbie titans!
Avril Lavigne:
In 2010 we welcome Avril back to the music scene. No name has been announced for her new album but it should be out this June, with the lead track coming out this April (April, Avril…coincidence?). You may be hearing a song called “Alice” right now from the soundtrack to the new Tim Burton flick “Alice in Wonderland”. She worked on her new album with her ex-husband Deryck Whibley from Sum 41 so it should be interesting to hear what comes from that.
